Your Highest Average Salary (HAS) is the input that drives every number on this page, so it's worth getting right. There are two ways to find it — they don't give you the same number.
✓
Request it directly from NVpers Recommended
Call or submit a request to NVpers for your official HAS calculation. This figure already has the "factor" (aka the "kicker") built in — use the number they give you as-is, no adjustment needed.
!
Calculate it yourself on the PERS website Needs adjustment
If you pull your own salary history and average your highest 3 years (36 months) by hand, that number does
not include the factor/kicker.
To convert it yourself: average your highest 3 years, then multiply by 1.34. That gives you your HAS with the factor/kicker included. If you calculated your own average from the PERS website instead of requesting the official figure, use that formula before entering it here — otherwise your results will understate your actual benefit.
